History Haunting the Present: Re-Interpreting the Truth in Contemporary Art of Iran

This article examines the notions of history and memory with references to works contemporary artists from Iran. It interrogates theme challenging present through re-interpretation investigates how respond social, cultural political conditions by creating a multi-faceted aesthetics resistance. While looking at broader subject in Iran, scrutinises who have been involved themes such as embodiment memory, concern for truth, historical record intellectual reference reflect present.
